Overview
Summary:
Responsible for the overall operation and direct supervision of a bar venue, including service standards, staffing and efficiency. This role supports daily operations and guest experiences at PT’s Taverns in Las Vegas, NV.
Responsibilities
Train, develop, measure performance, discipline, and schedule tavern staff
Lead the tactical execution of strategic initiatives under the direction of division leadership
Establish standards of service within the tavern and ensure achievement
Monitor and control labor within the tavern while maintaining adequate coverage based on business demands
Supervise staff to maintain cleanliness, proper table settings, timely service, and adherence to procedures; observe and evaluate team members and work procedures
Inspect tavern appearance, orderliness, cleanliness (including outside areas) and stock levels
Escalate and communicate unusual incidents or events involving guests or team members to the Regional Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or Vice-President of Tavern Operations
Assign stations and side work to all staff
Maintain working knowledge of front and back of house operational procedures
Present a professional manner at all times
Prepare and serve drinks to proper specifications and assist service staff
Notify Regional Operations Manager of guest complaints
Follow cash control procedures and ensure staff are trained on those procedures
Ensure service staff are trained in liquor laws, age verification, and company policies
Adhere to internal control procedures and Title 31 for currency transactions
Ensure compliance with Southern Nevada Health District standards
Oversee bar setup and cleaning, stocking, CO2 tanks, keg changes, and dishwashing; follow side work lists
Provide prompt, courteous service to guests and maintain a friendly atmosphere
Adhere to company sanitation requirements and maintain a safe working environment
Maintain knowledge of all menu items and specials
Enforce company uniform and dress code policies
Provide outstanding customer service to guests and fellow team members
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum two to five years restaurant/gaming and/or supervisory experience
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; team oriented and service-minded
Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings
Ability to present information to top management and public groups
Sound reasoning and problem-solving abilities
Intermediate computer skills
At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
