Systems Engineer with Security Clearance
Ops Consulting is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support mission-critical cybersecurity modernization efforts. This position plays a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and integrating complex systems. As a key technical leader, you will guide systems engineering activities, drive security-by-design strategies, and collaborate with elite cybersecurity teams to defend against emerging threats. Key Responsibilities: Analyze user requirements, concept of operations, and high-level system architectures to develop comprehensive system requirements specifications. Lead systems design and development efforts; oversee architecture definition and integration activities. Guide users in requirement formulation, conduct feasibility studies, and advise on alternative technical approaches. Provide technical leadership to integrate requirements, design, and emerging technologies across systems. Incorporate new designs and technologies into existing operations and infrastructure. Develop and maintain system architecture documentation, systems engineering management plans, and test plans. Serve as a primary technical liaison with our customer stakeholders, resolving technical issues and ensuring alignment with mission objectives. Ensure the technical integrity of all engineering deliverables within your area of responsibility. Collaborate with senior executives, customer representatives, and multidisciplinary program teams to align system engineering practices with mission goals. Required Qualifications: A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required. Experience: Minimum 14 years of systems engineering experience, with demonstrated leadership in complex system development and integration. Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Certifications: CompTIA Cloud+ Certification (Cloud+), DoD 8570 IAT Level I or II Certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP, GSEC), Computing Environment (CE) Certification. Preferred Qualifications: Mastery of system engineering principles, systems development life cycle (SDLC), and secure integration methodologies. Experience supporting secure operations in classified environments. Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, RMF) and IC compliance requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment.
