Lead the Americas regional accounting team, fostering a high-performance environment with a focus on quality while supporting the strategic vision for the global accounting function. Manage the monthly and quarterly close cadence for North America entities to ensure books and records are prepared in accordance with US GAAP and company policies, promoting continuous improvement and process refinement. Ensure quarterly financial reporting aligns with global requirements to support consolidated financial statements for SEC reporting. Oversee timely preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with local requirements. Support execution of internal and external audits within agreed timelines. Oversee remediation of control deficiencies and audit observations to maintain an effective internal control environment for entities under oversight. Liaise with the broader Accounting team, Americas Commercial, GBU leaders and other business partners to provide accounting and reporting subject matter expertise. Support and lead aspects of enterprise transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and maturation of the global services model. Lead professional development of the team to build bench strength for the Finance organization and ensure talent deployment to areas of need. Lead, manage, or support special projects as assigned. Qualifications

Education and Experience

University degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related discipline. Professional certification in accounting (CPA or equivalent) actively maintained. Minimum 14 years of professional experience in related functions. Foundational experience with a Big 4 firm and experience auditing or working in a large multinational public company. Global, multinational company experience. Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other large ERP systems. Experience in a manufacturing company; medical device experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and developing professionals. Results- and continuous-improvement oriented; ability to lead transformations with a global mindset. Ability to partner with the business and work with varied stakeholders, including top leaders and external partners. Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentations) and ability to summarize for executive audiences. Detail-oriented with the ability to formalize executive-level summaries. Strong problem-solving skills with proactive and pragmatic solutioning and collaboration. Adept at using technology and analytics to drive process improvement and build a contemporary accounting function. Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in a challenging environment.
