Overview

Associate Field Service Engineer - Baltimore/Washington DC Area. Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, part of Danaher. This position is located in Baltimore, MD and will be fully remote. The role services the Hematology and Urinalysis instruments and is part of the Field Service Team reporting to the Field Service Manager. Responsibilities

Under moderate direction from Field Service mentors and leadership, complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair on Beckman Coulter equipment. Provide excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter’s customers and offer technical training on products. Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times. Utilize business systems such as OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and advancing team goals. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their unique needs. The Essential Requirements

Associate degree or equivalent military experience (applicants with applicable military experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis). 0–1-year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electro-mechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation. Hold a current valid driver’s license and a good driving record over the last three years. Ability to travel (servicing an assigned geography and periodic travel to other areas/overnight). Able to lift, lower and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Capable of bending, stooping, twisting, turning, crouching/crawling, pushing/pulling, and sitting/standing for extended periods. Able to reach at, above and below shoulder level and have good hand/finger dexterity. Travel & Environment

Ability to travel – travel, overnight, within territory or locations. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb; other physical requirements as needed. Preferred/Additional Experience

2+ years’ experience troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications and/or service repair. Developing positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase customer satisfaction and support long-term retention. Technical college major such as biomed, engineering, or related field. Compensation & Benefits

The hourly range for this role is $33.65 to $38.46. This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement where applicable. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan to eligible employees.
