About the Team: Roku’s Subscriptions Marketing team drives growth and engagement for our suite of owned and operated streaming services, combining storytelling, data-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration to attract and retain subscribers across products like Howdy and Premium Subscriptions. We partner with product, analytics, brand, and external content teams to launch campaigns, personalize offers, and create seamless subscriber journeys. About the Role The Subscriptions Marketing Manager will lead off-platform marketing strategy for new and existing subscription services and promotional campaigns. You will drive subscriber acquisition and retention by executing growth initiatives across diverse media channels, including YouTube, mobile, and other digital platforms. Responsibilities include developing integrated campaigns, testing emerging tactics, and scaling strategy as opportunities arise. You’ll launch Roku subscriptions on channels like mobile apps, standalone websites, and partner platforms through close cross-team collaboration. Additionally, you will create and execute tailored marketing strategies for third-party ecosystems such as Amazon Prime Video, YouTube Primetime, and app stores. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and leverages data and analytics to evaluate new channels and optimize performance. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role, responsible for driving traffic, engagement, and subscriptions by testing and innovating across digital channels. For California Only - The estimated annual base salary for this position is between $142,000 - $152,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. What You’ll Be Doing Designing and running test-and-learn pilots for new tactics and channels, using data analysis to scale successful approaches and optimize spend Supporting launches of mobile apps, standalone websites, and expanding SVOD services to additional platforms via multi-channel marketing plans Collaborating closely with creative, product, engineering, analytics, and external agency teams to ensure unified messaging and coordinated launches Developing clear KPIs, analyzing campaign performance, and reporting actionable recommendations for future optimization Leveraging AI, machine learning, and consumer insights to automate tactics and personalize campaign content where possible Optimizing SEO and app store listings to drive discovery and acquisition Partnering with Amazon, YouTube, and other platforms to secure marketing real estate Developing platform-specific retention and win-back campaigns to complement acquisition strategies We’re Excited If You Have 7+ years of experience in media, technology, or subscription-based marketing with an emphasis on digital strategy Proven results growing subscriber bases through organic and paid digital media channels, including overseeing content creation and community engagement Demonstrated ability to develop, test, and optimize campaigns using analytics, A/B testing, and competitive insights Experience launching mobile apps, websites, and utilizing multi-channel marketing for new product/platform rollouts Experience with SEO/ASO to enhance discoverability across search-driven ecosystems Advanced proficiency with marketing analytics and visualization tools (Looker, Tableau) and project management systems (Airtable, Asana) Excellent communication skills for cross-functional teamwork and executive presentations Ownership mentality with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and comfort balancing intuition with data-driven decision-making in a fast-changing environment Benefits Roku is committed to offering a diverse range of benefits as part of our compensation package to support our employees and their families.
