POSITION SUMMARY The Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing the organization's financial operations, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and optimizing the use of Epicor. This role oversees the Accounting Department, mentors staff, and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting. The DCFO serves as a key operational and strategic partner, bridging leadership with the accounting team, resolving complex financial system issues, and supporting the company\'s overall fiscal health. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the CFO in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with FAR and government contract requirements. Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting. Maintain and optimize financial workflows and processes in Epicor, including transactional processing, reporting, and system configuration. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with government contract accounting standards. Review and approve financial transactions in Epicor, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to FAR and company policies. Conduct financial analyses to support strategic business decisions and government contract proposals. Mentor accounting team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Serve as the point of contact for the CFO in their absence, representing accounting leadership across the organization. Support system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations within Epicor ERP to improve efficiency and compliance. Collaborate with project managers, contracts, and program teams to ensure accurate contract cost tracking and reporting. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is not a supervisory position. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably as an Assistant or Deputy CFO. Extensive experience with Epicor ERP, including financial modules, reporting, and workflow management. Strong knowledge of Government Contract Accounting principles and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) compliance. ADDITIONAL REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor an accounting team effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and auditors. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen. Must be able to pass an initial background check. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Eligible for access to classified information (as required). Required to communicate in English.
