You will manage the delivery of all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) activities in a manufacturing facility or commercial areas (offices, sales, warehouses), including standards and procedures, capability processes, reporting, compliance and audit. That means you will define and review standards and legislation applicable to site, validate design for HSE into projects and modifications, and support defined work processes (e.g., IIM pillar) to improve HSE application and effectiveness. Also, you will map all applicable legislation and internal standards, ensure ongoing compliance and manage relationships with legal department and local authorities. You will maintain all HSE regulatory requirements for the plant. How you will contribute You will:

Responsibilities

Co-ordinate implementation of all HSE programs and processes. Prepare and build consensus annual plans for facility/function wide HSE initiatives.

Plan/Budget/Control annual capital budget for HSE to enable execution of the HSE plan and adherence to all internal and external compliance standards.

Provide HSE expertise for the facility/function for all new projects and change management activities.

Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses that might cause harm to one of the company’s employees, contractors, visitors.

Ensure that the appropriate talent is in place through training, mentoring, and succession planning and supports development and learning capabilities of Safety specialists.

Ensure the facility standards are in compliance with both Company and governmental/community regulations.

Ensure training and coaching are taking place to drive a safety-perfect culture and to ensure safety standards and awareness are well understood throughout the plant organization.

What you will bring

Demonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project management.

Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Experience with Health and Safety audit experience.

Define and implement a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy across our plant which respects corporate as well as local and federal requirements to provide safe and secure working conditions and reduce accidents while increasing HSE awareness.

Ensure regulatory and Mondelēz policy compliance and pursue continuous improvement in identified measures and objectives. Prepare and build consensus annual plans for each plant’s HSE initiatives.

Plan/Budget/Control annual capital budget for HSE to ensure flawless execution of the HSE plan and adherence to compliance standards.

Drive cultural transformation and continuous improvement in HSE and company programs/initiatives.

Provide HSE expertise for facilities and processes, including new projects and change management activities.

Develop performance standards and methods to measure facilities, design local processes, follow up on non-conformances and resolve them based on root cause analysis.

Understand relevant technical requirements in HSE and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Ensure appropriate risk assessments are conducted and follow ups implemented to minimize or eliminate accidents, asset losses, and environmental issues that might cause harm to employees, contractors, visitors, assets or reputation.

Ensure talent is in place through training, mentoring, and succession planning and support development and learning capabilities of the plant’s HSE team.

Provide linkage to the Regional function by participating in policy and best practice development.

Review performance in HSE and facilitate implementation of corrective and preventive actions where required.

Ensure facility standards comply with Company and governmental/community regulations.

Drive ZERO loss journey through training and coaching to ensure safety and environmental standards and awareness are understood across the plant organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field required. Master’s degree in environment or risk prevention preferred.

Good knowledge of local and international safety and environment standards (ISO 14001, OSHA).

Technical training in HSE (Risk Assessment, ISO 14001, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).

Results Oriented with experience managing change and processes in a complex environment.

Ability to provide leadership and technical expertise in management of HSE items.

The base salary range for this position is $137,300 - $188,825; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
