Overview
Renown Health, Northern Nevada's largest and only not-for-profit healthcare network, is recruiting a Medical Director of Endovascular. The Renown Health Department of Surgery, division of Vascular Surgery, is seeking an experienced board certified Peripheral Vascular Surgeon with expertise in Endovascular Surgery to help build and lead our endovascular surgery program. The candidate will practice in the region’s busiest full-service Heart and Vascular Institute and the only Level II Trauma Center serving a catchment area of over 900,000.
Responsibilities
Provide leadership for the endovascular surgery program and contribute to the growth of the ECMO program, Cardiovascular Service line, and Vascular Medicine program.
Evaluate new inpatient consults and cover complex oncologic reconstructions and vascular trauma as needed.
Develop and support the Vascular Surgery Outpatient Clinic, handling pre- and post-operative consults.
Manage complex open vascular surgery and perform endovascular procedures with proficiency.
Collaborate with a team of four other Peripheral Vascular surgeons and three dedicated First Assist APPs in the Department of Vascular Surgery.
Teach Residents and Medical Students for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine as Joint Faculty.
Qualifications
BE/BC Surgeon with Fellowship training in Peripheral Vascular Surgery.
Proficiency in complex open and complex endovascular procedures.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery.
Schedule & Setting
Monday – Friday, 7 am to 5 pm.
Vascular APP First Assist on all surgeries.
Clinic support, MAs, APNs, Scheduling Coordinators; 24/7 perfusionists and anesthesia support; 24/7 intensivist coverage with multiple ICUs including Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and Neuro ICU.
Teaching hospital environment serving the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive compensation: $700,000–$900,000 depending on experience.
Malpractice paid plus 100% tail coverage.

CME stipend of $5,000.
No state income tax.
