Own Calm’s paid acquisition media planning and budgeting. Build a cross-channel media plan to maximize results across digital and offline channels including paid social, paid search, Apple Search Ads (ASA), Google UAC, and emerging platforms. Set and manage annual media budgets and performance targets in partnership with Finance, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI that supports Calm’s financial plan. Develop forecasts, lead pacing, and manage budget processes to maintain accountability and alignment with the broader DTC financial plan. Continuously track and report on MTD and YTD pacing, working closely with the finance team. Partner with internal media buyers to analyze channel performance and trends, identify optimization opportunities, drive action, and monitor outcomes. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure alignment, communication, and operational excellence in delivering business goals. Deliver regular performance updates, channel outlooks, and growth recommendations to senior leadership. Analyze data to surface trends and opportunities within channels or funnels; define tests or solutions and drive execution. Identify trends and opportunities across the customer lifecycle. Lead project accountability to ensure top-priority workstreams progress on time with stakeholder alignment. Assist in developing and optimizing internal processes to boost team productivity. Drive AI adoption within the team’s workflows to increase productivity; identify and evaluate technology solutions to automate tasks, improve data accuracy, and enable cross-functional collaboration. Who You Are
Financially fluent with experience in media planning, budget forecasting, and optimizing spend for efficiency and scale. Analytical with a passion for data and the ability to translate insights into scalable action. Strong understanding of measurement, incrementality testing, cohort-based LTV, and full-funnel performance tracking. Proven track record of driving acquisition growth and ROAS across 8-figure budgets. Experience across paid social, paid search, ASA, Google UAC, and offline channels within a DTC environment. Strong communicator and collaborator with a track record of influencing cross-functional partners. Highly organized, self-directed, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Nice to Haves
Experience with mobile app or subscription-based performance marketing. Minimum Requirements
6+ years in acquisition or performance marketing roles, with deep experience managing paid channels in-house. Proven success managing 8-figure paid media budgets across multiple channels. In-depth understanding of media strategy, cross-channel planning, and the intricacies of online and offline media activation and performance analysis. Effective project management—meeting timelines and managing expectations across stakeholders. Strong financial acumen and ability to work with finance counterparts. Compensation and Benefits
Calm uses a geographic pay model. Base pay ranges for this position are $178,600 - $272,800, with final salary depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. The role is eligible for equity, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), and flexible time off. Inclusion and Hiring Process
