About Kinder’s
What’s it like to work at Kinder’s? There’s a lot of snacking and geeking out over what we cooked over the weekend, plus a lot of hard work. We’re obsessed with flavor and building something remarkable. With over 100 products sold nationwide, we’re a top-five brand in multiple flavor categories at Costco, Walmart, Whole Foods, and more. We’re privately held, founder-led, and pursue big ideas to make food unforgettable. As we approach $1B in revenue, we seek smart, scrappy people to join us on a journey to add flavor to millions of meals and lives. Chief Operating Officer (COO) — Kinder’s
The COO will play a pivotal role in scaling the business by driving operational and enterprise-level priorities in coordination with the CEO and senior leadership. The COO will oversee the full supply chain—from planning and sourcing through co-manufacturing, logistics, and customer service—ensuring operational excellence, agility, and cross-functional alignment in an asset-light, high-growth environment. This role reports to the CEO and works with C-level and next-level leaders to define priorities and develop short-term and long-range plans. Kinder’s has evolved from a regional butcher shop/restaurant into a fast-growing flavor-forward food company. We’re in one in four U.S. households, with national distribution and a focus on innovation and consumer engagement. We are not a traditional CPG company; we are privately held and founder-led, focused on curiosity, authenticity, bold decision-making, and scalable systems that empower people. As we scale from $400M to $1B+ in revenue and expand globally, we seek a strategic, values-driven COO to join our Executive Leadership Team. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to design the infrastructure, teams, systems, and partnerships needed to grow with pace, autonomy, experimentation, and purpose. This role is not for the cautious or bureaucratic; it is for a leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and leads with curiosity, humility, and ambition. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership
– Serve as a core member of the executive team, shaping growth strategy and long-range operational planning. Provide strategic input on capabilities, investments, and business transformation initiatives to reach medium- and long-term goals. Empower cross-functional leaders with operational insights to drive growth, efficiency, and scalability. Champion opportunities to improve operating efficiencies, margin initiatives, process development, technology investments, and continuous improvement. Sourcing & Supply Chain
– Lead procurement strategy for ingredients and packaging domestically and internationally. Build and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, continuity, and flexibility. Develop processes and tools to drive supply chain responsiveness to support growth and innovation. Mitigate supply risk through dual-sourcing and strategic partnerships. Evaluate opportunities to optimize the supply network and manage tariffs, transportation, and other costs. Co-Manufacturing & Production
– Oversee all third-party manufacturing relationships. Drive operational performance, cost-efficiency, and growth planning across co-manufacturers. Oversee quality, compliance, capacity planning, and capital investment strategies with R&D and Product Development. Develop medium- and long-term supply plans, including capacity development and capital requirements. Implement network optimization to balance quality and total logistics costs. Planning & Inventory Management
– Own demand and supply planning to optimize service levels, working capital, and production efficiency. Lead S&OP/IBP processes and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in high-volume club-channel production and optimize inventory strategy to support growth while cash flow remains healthy. Logistics & Customer Service
– Oversee logistics and transportation via 3PL partners. Ensure efficient movement of goods, manage costs and service levels, and optimize warehouse design and routing. Lead customer service and order fulfillment to meet OTIF targets and drive customer satisfaction. The Ideal Candidate 15+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing, preferably in high-growth CPG or food brands. Experience leading complex, multi-channel distribution and co-manufacturing networks. Builder mindset: energized by ambiguity, skilled at designing systems from the ground up. Strong analytical, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Team-first, empowering leadership with a track record of mentoring high-performing, values-aligned teams. Mission-aligned: passionate about food, people, innovation, and building an enduring brand. Bonus: experience in founder-led or private equity-backed environments. Why Kinder’s? Authenticity as Strategy: Humility, purpose, and transparency guide our actions. Momentum Meets Meaning: We’re growing, but we pursue it intentionally. People Over Process: We build systems that support humans; experimentation and learning are encouraged. Alignment from the Top: The Board, ELT, and founders invest in capability-building and long-term brand health. Ready to Build Something Iconic? If you’re a mission-aligned operator ready to leave a lasting impact on the food industry through people and systems, Kinder’s could be your most meaningful and rewarding work. Location: San Francisco, CA. Compensation: $300,000.00–$400,000.00. Employment type: Full-time. Seniority level: Executive. Job function: Management and Manufacturing. Industry: Food and Beverage Manufacturing.
