Texas Oncology is looking for a
Certified Medical Dosimetrist
(CMD) to join our team. This position is primarily remote but may require occasional travel. This role will support the Texas Oncology Clinic located at 2600 Scripture Rd in Denton, Texas. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Responsibilities
In collaboration with the radiation oncologist and medical physicist, develop, generate, and evaluate treatment plans using computer software and manual calculations based on prescribed target and avoidance dose criteria. Utilize a wide variety of patient imaging modalities registered to planning images to identify physician-delineated target structures and critical structures to be avoided. Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Generate radiation therapy treatment plans in a timely manner using computer software and imaging modalities, with strong attention to detail. Adapt to changing technology and be open to learning new systems and techniques. Perform or supervise the design and fabrication of immobilization devices, beam-modifying devices (e.g., compensating filters, bolus, molds, custom shields), and treatment planning aids. Consult and communicate with therapists regarding the implementation of the treatment plan, including immobilization devices, field arrangement, and other treatment variables. Strong experience with Varian LINACs, Eclipse TPS, ARIA, IMSure, RadCalc, EZFluence, ClearCheck, AutoContour, and MiM Software is a plus. Qualifications
Credentials as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) preferred. Two years of experience with Eclipse TPS preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in planning VMAT, IMRT, SBRT/SRT, and 3D plans. Prior work in a Varian linear accelerator environment is a plus. Physical Demands
