The Maternal, Newborn, Child Nutrition & Health (MNCNH) Team is responsible for an end-to-end approach focused on product discovery, development, introduction, and scale of novel and existing high impact products for women, adolescent girls, and children in low-resource settings. Your Role The Officer, Strategy & Data, plays a critical support role in helping the MNCNH team translate data into actionable strategy, clear communications, and decision-support tools. The officer will contribute to the team’s measurement and learning efforts through project management of data initiative efforts, data synthesis, curation of analytic outputs for visualization, and distillation of insights into compelling presentations and written products for internal and external audiences. This position is a limited-term position for 2-Years What You’ll Do Contribute to strategy development initiatives across the MNCNH team, particularly around data integration and application of AI to augment impact potential. Identify opportunities for and facilitate uptake of AI applications to operational processes for our centralized data function. Facilitate inclusive and effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders to support strategy development and alignment. Create strategic materials, presentations, and updates for MNCNH and broader foundation leadership. Support the measurement of progress toward goals, including defining indicators, milestones, and learning questions aligned with team strategy. Partner with team leadership to link strategic ambition to operational business planning. Measurement & Data Integration Support data initiatives through project management to improve tracking of product development and introduction progress and synthesis and curation of data and insights. Collaborate with grantees and internal data scientists to support effective use of data in strategic decisions. Help translate data into insights and identify opportunities for investment, course correction, or acceleration. Contribute to the design of study and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track harmonized process and impact metrics across the portfolio. Program and Team Enablement Contribute to shaping an integrated strategy/data function within the program. Support internal coordination to break down vertical silos and accelerate discovery, development, and downstream uptake of key products. Promote inclusive team culture by modeling collaborative behaviors and surfacing issues transparently and constructively. Your Experience Master’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, engineering, or related quantitative field. Focus on global health preferred. Prior experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or equivalent role within a global development, health, or social impact organization. Demonstrated experience leading complex strategy projects and using structured problem-solving approaches. Experience designing or supporting monitoring and evaluation frameworks, data systems, or insights generation in global health or development. Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and tailor messages to senior audiences. Familiarity with LMIC contexts and working with data, research, and/or health systems in low-resource settings is a plus. Interest in AI and aptitude for tracking relevant applications within the evolving field. Other Attributes Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and integrate data and strategy perspectives into cohesive plans. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, especially in cross-cultural and multi-stakeholder environments. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving landscape with shifting priorities. Curious, humble, and proactive learner with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for women, children, and families. Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
