What You 0Will Do
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Compliance Director to lead and manage all aspects of human resources compliance across our organization. This critical role ensures QXO’s adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, internal HR policies, and evolving regulatory standards. The role also drives enterprise-wide initiatives that mitigate legal risks, enhance operational consistency, and promote a culture rooted in compliance and accountability. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance in key operational areas including: Time and Attendance Payroll and wage/hour regulations Employee Work Authorization (e.g., I-9 and E-Verify processes) Background Screening protocols and requirements Key Responsibilities
Compliance Oversight Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ADA, and wage/hour regulations) to ensure timely updates to HR policies and practices. Ensure compliance with regulations related to Time and Attendance systems and accurate payroll processing. Maintain robust processes for verifying work eligibility, including I-9 documentation and E-Verify checks. Oversee the compliance framework for pre-employment background screening and related vendor management. Program Development and Implementation Design, implement, and manage comprehensive HR compliance programs, including written policies, training programs, internal audits, and continuous monitoring systems. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate compliance into daily HR operations. Policy Management and Governance Draft, revise, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current laws and company values. Lead efforts to harmonize policies post-acquisition or across multiple jurisdictions. Training and Communication Develop and deliver targeted training programs on compliance topics to HR staff, managers, and employees. Act as the subject matter expert and point of contact for compliance inquiries and guidance. Audit, Risk Management, and Reporting Lead internal audits and investigations; track findings and implement corrective action plans. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of compliance activities, audits, regulatory filings, and investigations. Support internal controls related to payroll accuracy and timekeeping compliance audits. Vendor and System Oversight Partner with HRIS, IT, and legal teams to ensure systems effectively support compliance requirements. Manage relationships with vendors supporting background screening, timekeeping, and employment eligibility verification. Qualifications
What you\u2019ll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum 7 years of experience in HR compliance, HR operations, or program management, with a strong foundation in employment law and HR regulations. Experience working with timekeeping, payroll, and background screening systems is highly desirable. What you earn
