Our client, a telecommunications company in NYC, is looking for a Head of Creative Strategy for a temp-to-perm position. This person will be a senior leader within their in-house agency, responsible for driving the strategic vision across all brand touchpoints and ensuring that creative output aligns with business objectives. This role will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive, insight-driven strategies for 360 campaigns spanning traditional, digital, social, and content marketing initiatives. Partnering closely with media planning teams, this leader will define channel-specific creative strategies, guide communications planning, and champion the development of breakthrough creative briefs that inspire exceptional work. The Head of Creative Strategy will also build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of creative strategists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and thought leadership. This is a hybrid temp-to-perm role and requires 3-4 days/week onsite in NYC, as well as some occasional travel to Philadelphia. Responsibilities:

Develop and execute holistic creative strategies that align with client business goals and brand objectives across all communications touchpoints. Lead the strategic planning process for integrated campaigns, spanning traditional media, digital, social, experiential, and content marketing. Partner closely with media planning teams to ensure creative strategies are tailored to each channel and optimized for performance. Oversee all communications planning processes, ensuring consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across initiatives. Lead the development of insight-driven creative briefs that inspire innovative and effective creative solutions. Translate research, data, and cultural trends into actionable strategies that fuel creative thinking and brand differentiation. Serve as a strategic thought leader and trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and driving business growth. Build, lead, and mentor a team of creative strategists, fostering professional growth and elevating the strategic capabilities of the department. Collaborate with creative, account, and media teams to ensure integrated campaign execution and alignment with strategic vision. Represent the agency’s strategic and creative capabilities in new business pitches and industry thought leadership. Required Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand planning, or communications strategy within an advertising or marketing agency. Proven track record of leading strategic vision across integrated, multi-channel campaigns. Strong expertise in communications planning, creative briefing, and brand storytelling. Experience partnering with media planning and analytics teams to develop channel-specific strategies. Exceptional ability to translate cultural insights, research, and data into compelling creative strategies. Strong leadership skills with experience building and mentoring high-performing strategy teams. Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted partnerships. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to inspire both internal teams and clients.
