Head of Legal & Compliance , you will partner directly with the founders to: Establish airtight legal foundations, Keep us ahead of regulatory change, Craft a forward-looking strategy that lets the business grow without friction. Responsibilities

Corporate Governance:

Maintain corporate records, board resolutions, and state registrations. Compliance & Risk:

Map applicable federal and multi-state regulations (privacy, consumer protection, employment, payments, insurance, etc.) and build policies that keep us audit-ready. IP & Data Protection:

Register and enforce trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets; NDAs, contributor agreements, and security policies to safeguard code and sensitive data. Contract Lifecycle:

Create and manage templates and processes for all commercial agreements with our customers, vendors, partners, investors, talent. Fundraising & Equity:

Prepare for fixed capital process, SAFE / convertible-note docs, cap-table updates, investor rights agreements, and diligence folders for angel & VC rounds. External Counsel Management:

Select, budget, and coordinate outside law firms, patent agents, compliance vendors for specialized matters. Strategic Advice:

Serve as trusted advisor to executives on risk-reward trade-offs, new market entry, M&A opportunities, and dispute prevention. What you bring

5+ years

combined experience in Legal Ops, corporate law, or compliance—preferably with a high-growth tech startup or leading law firm. Demonstrated success building legal frameworks that scale (you’ve been the “first legal hire” or GC-track counsel before). Fluency in

contract drafting, fundraising instruments, multi-state compliance, and IP strategy . Business mindset: you frame legal guidance in terms of commercial impact and growth. Licensed attorney (JD) or proven senior legal-ops leader; U.S. bar admission a plus but not strictly required if you bring equivalent in-house expertise. Passion for ownership—comfortable trading short-term cash for long-term equity upside. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder Ready to build our legal future?
