Job Summary
The Aircraft Captain will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Weisiger Group aircraft (Lear 75) and for satisfying other private flight needs that may arise. The Aircraft Captain will oversee the safety of passengers, crew, and the successful completion of each flight. Essential Functions
Flight Operations and Planning: Plan, prepare, and execute flight operations, including pre-flight briefings, route planning, fuel calculations, and contingency planning. Conduct thorough flight briefings with passengers and crew to ensure the safety and comfort of all aboard. Operate the aircraft according to all applicable aviation regulations and company policies. Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to flight plans as needed. Communicate effectively with air traffic control and other relevant parties. Ensure compliance with all FAA, TSA, and company safety regulations for both domestic and international travel. Safety and Compliance
Ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained at all times, with a focus on risk management and safety culture. Stay current on all relevant aviation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Act as a liaison for safety audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance checks. Ensure pilots (permanent and per-diem) are up to date on required training. Qualifications
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate (ATP preferred) Type rating on the Lear 75 aircraft preferred Part 91/135 Corporate Flight Experience Preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience flying corporate jets or similar aircraft First class medical required. Must be able to work on an on-call basis. Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually. Primary residence within a 1-hour drive from Concord, NC or willing to relocate. Minimum Qualifications To Be Considered
Total time = 3,000 hours PIC = 1,500 hours MEL = 1,500 hours MEL PIC = 500 hours Time in Turbo Jet = 500 hours Instrument = 250 hours 5 years of aviation experience We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
