With proven capital/financial support, along with a major industrial/data center campus presently in development, we are looking for a hands-on, strategic leader to join the senior leadership team and drive the design and construction execution of this flagship project. Position Summary The Senior Vice President will serve as a key executive leader responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of a hyper-scale data center campus development program. This role will own the project lifecycle from design through construction execution and final commissioning. The ideal candidate is a seasoned, technically sophisticated, and highly strategic professional with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects. This role requires deep cross-functional collaboration with internal executives, operations, finance, external consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and jurisdictional authorities to ensure project execution aligns with the company’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the company’s comprehensive design and construction strategy for a multi-phase, multi-site data center development program, ensuring alignment with long-term business and operational goals. Lead all post acquisition project phases, including master planning, conceptual and detailed design, permitting, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations. Direct the successful execution of all major project scopes, including sitework, utilities, core and shell construction, MEP infrastructure, fit-out, and technical buildouts, with an emphasis on speed-to-market and operational resilience. Ensure all designs meet or exceed performance standards for scalability, redundancy, sustainability, and energy efficiency. Act as the executive design authority, reviewing and approving critical design documents, drawings, and specifications to maintain consistency, quality, and cost control across the portfolio. Oversee general contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality assurance, adherence to project schedules, and fiscal discipline throughout construction. Identify, manage, and resolve project risks and field issues through proactive planning, hands-on leadership, and real-time problem-solving. Establish and implement best-in-class project controls, including budgeting, forecasting, value engineering, change management, reporting, and risk mitigation strategies. Partner closely with finance, legal, operations, and senior leadership to ensure project execution supports broader business goals, investment returns, and operational readiness. Ensure full regulatory compliance, including zoning, permitting, environmental, fire/life safety codes, and local/state/federal regulations. Continuously optimize project delivery processes by incorporating lessons learned, new technologies, sustainable practices, and industry innovations. Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent executive education preferred. 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in design and construction management, with a strong focus on mission-critical infrastructure and hyper-scale data centers. Demonstrated success in delivering capital-intensive programs ($100M–$500M+) on time and within budget, under fast-track and high-performance requirements. Deep technical expertise in MEP systems design, power distribution, HVAC, controls, commissioning, and high-availability (HA) infrastructure (Tier III/IV). Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and build alignment across complex stakeholder ecosystems. Strong command of project management methodologies, construction delivery models (e.g., design-build, CMAR), and contract negotiation. Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with sustainable design principles, green building standards, and certifications such as LEED, WELL, or Energy Star is highly desirable.
