What We're Doing
We are seeking a Software Engineering Lead to join our team in Owego, NY, supporting the full product lifecycle of avionics subsystems. You will play a key role in translating customer requirements into technical solutions, defining software/hardware interfaces, verifying requirements, and integrating safety-critical systems.
The Work
As a Software Engineering Team Lead, you’ll oversee the development of embedded software for mission and communication systems. You’ll collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop C/C++ applications, integrate algorithms, and lead verification and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead embedded software development efforts Integrate algorithms and features into C/C++ applications Design, develop, test, and debug safety- and mission-critical avionics software Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software/hardware interfaces Support documentation, error correction, and performance validation Guide certification activities and compliance with safety regulations Desired skills
Familiarity with technologies for Electronic Warfare, and Radar, and Link-16 subsystems and the development and integration into an avionics architecture Experience with development of software requirements and working collaboratively with software engineers in the design, development, and test of software Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) – Preferably CAMEO Experience with Command-line and shell scripting proficiency, Git version control and Docker Containers, and Wireshark Experience building strong customer relationships Experience translating technical strategies and challenges into verbal and visual presentations to be shared with senior management and senior customers contacts Experience with the software algorithm requirements development with a strong math background (specifically multivariable calculus, linear algebra and control theory Experience with the design, integration and test of avionics systems and software operational programs Current active Secret security clearance EEO Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
