Overview Gainwell Technologies is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions, including Generative AI (GenAI), Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, across our healthcare technology platforms. This role involves building and optimizing AI technologies, integrating them into existing systems, and ensuring their effectiveness in improving healthcare outcomes and operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Your role in our mission

Delivery Lead for AI Delivery

– Lead a cross-functional team including analytics, engineering, product, AI platform, and business/IT stakeholders to drive AI solution delivery.

AI Model Development

– Design, build, and train machine learning and deep learning models, including GenAI, NLP, and predictive analytics for healthcare applications.

End-to-End AI Solution Deployment

– Develop, test, and deploy AI solutions in cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and real-world impact.

Data Engineering & Processing

– Work with large healthcare datasets, perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training while ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance.

System Integration

– Implement and optimize AI models within Gainwell’s technology stack, collaborating with software engineers for seamless integration.

Performance Optimization

– Monitor, refine, and optimize models for accuracy, efficiency, and speed using MLOps best practices.

AI Research & Innovation

– Stay updated with the latest AI/ML advancements and explore new technologies to enhance solutions.

Compliance & Security

– Ensure AI implementations comply with healthcare regulations, ethical AI principles, and data privacy standards.

Automation & Workflow Enhancement

– Identify opportunities to automate workflows and optimize business processes with AI-driven solutions.

What We're Looking For

Advanced Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.

Extensive AI/ML Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML engineering with GenAI, NLP, deep learning, and computer vision. Experience in developing, deploying, and finetuning LLMs (GPT, Gemini, Claude or similar) for real-world applications is a plus.

Technical Proficiency: Strong Python skills and frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch; experience with LLMs and prompt engineering/optimization.

Scalable Deployment Skills: Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), MLOps, and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL).

Domain Knowledge: Strong problem-solving abilities with healthcare AI experience and understanding of regulatory standards like HIPAA and CMS.

Communication: Ability to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions.

What You Should Expect In This Role

Fully Remote Opportunity – Work from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimal Travel Required – Occasional travel opportunities (0-10%).

The pay range for this position is $184,000.00 - $262,900.00 per year, with base pay varying by geographic region, internal equity, knowledge, skills, and experience.
