Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Sr. Java Developer, Technical Lead. Work Location: Remote. Clearance Required: DHS Public Trust EOD. Description: The candidate should be highly resourceful and capable of adapting to dominant development platforms and frameworks, delivering results while evaluating new technologies and developing solutions. Successful Technical Leads at Alpha Omega are team players and self-starters who foster collaborative environments. The new Technical Lead is expected to continue this tradition. Key Responsibilities
Support IT projects(s) within Federal Government as a Technical Lead and Sr. Java Developer Manage building Sprints and releases Maintain metrics, including KPIs, and procedures to manage progress Architecting and maintaining software / infrastructure build, test, and deployment CI/CD pipelines on AWS GovCloud Lead creating, managing, and maintaining Pipelines, Data Integrations, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for CI/CD pipelines and associated project-based deployments Identify and implement improvements to how we securely build, deploy and monitor software projects Maintain acute awareness of market and industry trends Support Corporate Growth activities (i.e. tech challenges, proposals, etc…) Required Qualifications
At least 10 years of experience in application development using Java platforms At least 4 years of DevOps and Cloud experience At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Lead Strong understanding of design and architecture patterns Strong understanding of microservices architecture, development, and deployment process Strong understanding of Amazon Services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Lambda, autoscaling, etc) Strong understanding of Cloud platforms and offerings (especially containers and serverless) Knowledge and experience with Agile processes and DevOps engineering Experience with static code quality scanning tools: SonarQube Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience communicating with the business community and facilitating Sprints Preferred Qualifications
AWS Professional Certification (Solution Architect or DevOps Engineer) DHS Public Trust clearance Federal Government IT delivery experience Salary And Benefits
The likely salary range for this position is $80,935 - $180,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Factors considered for final pay include relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies, education, and contract provisions related to the position. Application Deadline
