Storytelling Fellow (Communications & Writing)
to help us tell Draper University’s story — and the stories of the founders building tomorrow. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn, create, and grow within one of Silicon Valley’s most dynamic startup ecosystems. This fellowship is ideal for students or recent graduates passionate about technology, venture capital, and narrative craft — someone who can transform ideas into words that spark curiosity, emotion, and connection. The Role: Storytelling Fellow
What You’ll Do Write content for
social media, newsletters, and blogs
that connects with founder and tech communities. Craft sharp captions and copy for podcasts, videos, and live events. Turn
founder stories, transcripts, and video interviews
into well-researched, editorial-style written pieces. Support in shaping Draper University’s
voice and storytelling strategy
across platforms. Collaborate closely with our
media, investment, and program teams
to bring narratives to life. What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications Strong writing and editing skills, adaptable across formats and audiences. Demonstrated interest in
startups, technology, and storytelling . Ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality content quickly. Organized, curious, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in
Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related fields — or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with
podcast content , transcription editing, or repurposing media into written formats. Experience with
social media strategy
and understanding of what resonates on platforms like X, LinkedIn, and Substack. Interest in
frontier technologies
and emerging startup ecosystems. Fellowship Details
Unpaid , but
housing, meals, travel, and lodging are covered
