Sr. Solutions Architect - Emerging at Databricks. As a Sr. Solutions Architect within the Field Engineering organization, you will partner with customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services. You will drive complex technology discussions that express the value of the Databricks platform throughout the sales lifecycle, engaging with customers' technical leads, architects, engineers, and operations teams to establish yourself as a trusted advisor and achieve tangible outcomes. You will work with teams across Databricks and report to the Field Engineering Manager. Responsibilities

Work with Sales and other partners to develop account strategies to grow platform usage for assigned accounts. Establish the Databricks Lakehouse architecture as the standard data architecture for customers through technical account planning. Build and present reference architectures and demo applications to help prospects understand how Databricks supports their goals, driving adoption and new use cases. Capture technical wins by consulting on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science/machine learning projects; validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications. Promote Databricks-inspired open-source projects (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Koalas) across developer communities via meetups, conferences, and webinars. What We Look For

8+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales or consulting role with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Big data engineering (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka); Data Warehousing & ETL (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS); Data Science and Machine Learning (pandas, scikit-learn, hyperparameter optimization); Data Applications (logs analysis, threat detection, real-time monitoring, risk analysis); or related fields. Experience translating business needs to technology solutions and securing buy-in from stakeholders at all levels. Experience designing, architecting, and presenting data systems for customers and delivering production solutions. Fluent in SQL and database technology. Development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or R. Desirable: Experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Desirable: Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research). Travel to customers in your region up to 30% of the time. Pay Range Transparency

Actual compensation packages are based on factors including skills, depth of experience, certifications, training, and location.
