The University of California, Berkeley is seeking an Events Associate to manage logistics and communications for local, international, and virtual convenings.
About the Role
The Events Associate will be the primary resource and point person for event planning, contracting, on-site coordination and staffing, and more. The successful candidate will have at least one year of relevant work experience related to event planning and management, be well-organized, and have strong administrative skills. Responsibilities
Lead logistical support for all CEGA events Identify and coordinate event venues, catering, and other vendor activities Book travel and accommodations for speakers and participants Support communications and outreach strategies Process reimbursements related to travel and procurement of event-related materials Requirements
At least one year of relevant work experience Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training Well-organized, strong administrative skills, and outstanding attention to detail Self-directed, intrinsically motivated, and able to manage work independently Preferred Qualifications
Skilled written and verbal communicator Experience tailoring events and communications to distinct audiences Demonstrated professionalism and discretion Comfortable and adept at working in a diverse, inclusive, and multicultural work environment Salary & Benefits
The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $74,700.00 - $85,205.00. This is a full-time, career position that is eligible for UC Benefits. How to Apply
