The Hawai'i State Senate
The Hawaiʻi State Senate is seeking Budget Analysts for the 2026 Legislative Session. This temporary, full-time role is ideal for those with strong analytical and organizational skills who want to work in public finance and government.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and review budget requests and financial documents from state agencies.
Prepare reports, meeting notes, and budget worksheets.
Collaborate with team members to track appropriations and maintain financial records.
Communicate with department heads and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Prior experience in finance, budgeting, or government is a plus, but not required.
Benefits & Details:
Salary: $4,000 – $4,400 per month, commensurate with experience.
Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Temporary position: December 2025 – May 2026.
Must be able to work in-person in Honolulu, Oahu.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien, or otherwise eligible for unrestricted employment in the United States.
