Overview
CNO Financial Group is hiring a Senior Managing Actuary – ALM to work with 40|86, Actuarial and Finance. This role focuses on asset-liability management, including development and implementation of strategies to manage interest rate risk and hedge market risks embedded in the company’s products. The position supports ALM and capital management activities, including the allocation of net investment income and financial analyses, and supports Actuarial Valuation in asset models used in Asset Adequacy Analyses and valuation-related market assumptions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with 40|86 on duration management, hedging, and acting as a resource for actuarial matters. Responsibilities
Manage the company’s asset-liability management (ALM) risks in coordination with 40|86, Actuarial and Finance. Develop and maintain programs for managing ALM risk, including measuring liability duration and hedging Fixed Indexed Annuity and Indexed Universal Life products. Support Actuarial Valuation for investment-related needs, including asset-model development for cash-flow testing and developing investment and market-related assumptions used in reserving. Support Finance in developing and maintaining programs to allocate Net Investment Income and related analyses. Support corporate initiatives including M&A and reinsurance. Engage with the Investment and ALM Committee and the Investment Committee of the Board of Directors as directed by the Chief Investment Officer. Manage 1-2 direct reports in completing their assigned duties. Qualifications
Highly proficient in ALM, including hedging and duration management. Investment knowledge, including modeling. Good communication skills. Ability to solve challenging technical problems. Knowledge of life, health, and/or annuity products. Proficiency with actuarial modeling systems, including Poly, Excel, VBA and/or BondEdge. Associateship in the Society of Actuaries (ASA). Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field or 8 years of relevant experience as equivalent. 10 years of relevant actuarial experience. Preferred/Additional
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), Finance and Investment Track. 5 or more years of ALM experience. Willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours. What You’ll Need

Salary range: $170,200 – $255,200 annual, bonus eligible. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) retirement plan with company match; short-term and long-term disability insurance. Paid time off, corporate holidays, and paid parental leave; company-paid life insurance. The Company may offer additional benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
