Infosys is seeking a Lead SRE Consultant who is a subject matter expert (SME) in SFT Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of secure file transfer infrastructure. As a Lead SRE Consultant, your role will blend software engineering with IT operations, focusing on automation, monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization of SFT platforms.

Overview Lead SRE Consultant responsible for the reliability, security, and performance of secure file transfer platforms, with emphasis on automation, monitoring, incident response, and optimization.

Responsibilities

Apply software engineering practices to IT operations for SFT platforms.

Develop and implement automation, monitoring, and incident response processes.

Optimize performance and reliability of SFT infrastructure.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security and scalability of file transfer solutions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 7 years of Relevant Information Technology experience

Location for this position is Phoenix, AZ. This position may require travel to project/client location.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in production, service delivery / operations support environment.

Hands-on administrative experience with application servers and application performance monitoring tools.

Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations processes.

Clear understanding of one or more Cloud systems (AWS, Open Shift, Azure Cloud, Oracle cloud or others).

Basic understanding of containerization, Docker and Kubernetes. Expertise in leading industry file transfer protocols such as AS2, FTP(s), SFTP, HTTPS, IBM Connect Direct.

Expertise in cryptography algorithms for encryption and decryption based on X509, PGP, compression, decompression, ASCII to EBCDIC and EBCDIC to ASCII.

Expertise in one of application deployment automation tools such as Chef, IO, Puppet RFC standards and systems security Linux, TCP/IP networking, firewalls, load balancers, databases and Java based applications.

Proficient with providing business process consulting, integration solutions for file/API gateways while adhering to AXP enterprise governance and security standards.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
