Responsibilities
Mountain Youth Academy (a UHS company) is a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assists in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.
Position Summary: Human Resources Director
The HR Director manages the HR department team while overseeing all HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training/orientation, employee relations, workers’ compensation and maintaining all personnel records in files and the HRIS system.
This position provides professional level planning, reporting, and analysis to support the goals and objectives of the facility; resolves conflicts to protect the facilities assets; provides expertise and recommendations to support management decisions and serves as a contributing member of the senior management team.
This position ensures that all HR activities are complaint with company and facility policies and procedures, State and Federal laws, licensing and accreditation bodies, and facility contracts.
Essential Job Duties Responsibilities
Manages the HR department team while overseeing all HR functions including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training/orientation, employee relations, workers’ compensation and maintaining all personnel records in files and the HRIS system.
Develops and implements a staffing strategy that ensures critical roles remain filled to maintain budgeted ADC and census growth, as applicable. Ensures that recruitment and selection are accomplished within the framework of facility policy adhering to Equal Employment Opportunity laws. Manage and ensure open positions are posted and align with job descriptions and hospital standards. Keeps abreast of regulations and laws which affect recruitment, selection, and employment.
Oversees the retention and engagement of employees by analyzing turnover trends and identifying employee concerns. Oversee and implement retention strategies and programs in collaboration with Sr. Management team that support facility wide goals.
Serves as an effective, contributing member of the Sr. Management team by providing effective staff advice to Sr. Management in respect to the operation and integration of the human resources function.
Prepare required Human Resources reports utilizing various systems, and platforms, regarding key indicators, department goals, and other information, as requested, to support the facilities goals. Gather, record, and analyze data to prepare and present monthly department and administrative reports and briefings, as requested to Sr. Leadership and others, as requested. Collaborate with department leaders to present data and information that supports obtainment of facility wide goals and objectives.

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
3-5 years related experience required, 5-8 preferred
PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
Possess a high-level computer proficiency to include word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, database, and internet.
Knowledge of accreditation standards of the Joint Commission for Healthcare Accreditation Organization (JCAHO)
Ability to think critically, problem solve and interpret information impartially.
Ability to gather, analyze and interpret data and information and verbally summarize trends and high-level findings.
Knowledge of medical staff credentialing and verification process.
Must communicate effectively and professionally at all times. Display a high level of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethics in all decisions.
Knowledge of sourcing and full cycle recruiting utilizing the internet, job boards, social media and local resources.
Have the ability to plan, organize, and work with a high level of detail and accuracy.
