Senior Medical & Scientific Affairs Liaison
Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Medical & Scientific Affairs Liaison to provide medical, scientific and clinical leadership within the business. This position will engage with stakeholders to support external engagement and advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives. The role is remote and reports to the Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs as part of the Global Medical & Scientific Affairs Team. In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
Deliver medical and scientific education and training on Leica Biosystems’ advanced staining, digital, and computational pathology portfolio. Build and maintain relationships with key thought leaders, supporting external collaborations and engagement initiatives. Translate complex medical content into clear, accessible messaging for internal and external stakeholders in partnership with Medical Directors. Monitor and share relevant scientific literature, clinical data, and best practices in oncology and molecular pathology. Provide strategic medical support across inquiries, marketing, training, and congress participation, while gathering insights to inform business decisions. The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D., PharmD) in a relevant medical/scientific field preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s in health, clinical informatics, or lab sciences with 5+ years of clinical/medical experience also considered. Deep understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance standards for healthcare industry interactions. Expertise in anatomic and clinical pathology technologies, including IHC, digital imaging, and computational tools. Proven ability to deliver clinical presentations, support field-based medical affairs, and communicate complex medical topics clearly. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and influencing skills with a track record of building relationships with key thought leaders and working effectively in matrix environments. Applies deep medical-scientific knowledge to the development and global commercialization of complex, high-risk products, balancing short-term problem-solving with long-term strategic outcomes and risk-benefit analysis. Works effectively in matrixed and cross-cultural environments, driving timely decisions, issue resolution, and resource agility while setting high expectations and modeling accountability and integrity. Communicates complex and sensitive information clearly across diverse audiences; builds consensus, demonstrates strong writing and documentation skills, and uses sound judgment to influence and lead through change. This position is eligible for remote work from your home, with additional details provided by the interview team. The annual salary range for this role is $175,000- $215,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive pay. We offer paid time off and health benefits to eligible employees.
