True Standard Distilling
Brand Ambassador - Montgomery County
True Standard Distilling, Frederick, Maryland, United States, 21701
Overview
At True Standard Distilling, we believe every pour tells a story. We’re looking for a driven and personable Brand Ambassador to carry that story into the bars, restaurants, and shops of Montgomery County, Maryland. This role is about more than selling bottles — it’s about forging lasting relationships, sharing the passion behind our rum, and ensuring our brand is represented with integrity everywhere it’s poured. The right candidate is a natural connector, equally at ease speaking with bartenders, retailers, and guests at a tasting table. You’ll be the face of True Standard in a key market, helping us grow with intention and authenticity. What You’ll Do What You’ll Do
Grow Accounts & Drive Sales
Build and nurture relationships with on- and off-premise accounts across Montgomery County. Secure placements and grow True Standard’s presence where it matters most. Pitch products, support menus, and champion our spirits to decision-makers and staff. Share regular updates and wins directly with ownership.
Represent the Brand
Be the voice and face of True Standard in the field. Host tastings, trainings, and events that bring our story to life. Support local promotions, festivals, and community activations. Set the tone for professionalism and hospitality at every touchpoint.
Engage the Community
Partner with our events and outreach team to amplify True Standard’s presence in the county. Attend consumer and trade events as the brand’s front-line advocate. Provide real-time feedback from accounts to help shape future sales and marketing efforts.
Stay Compliant & Organized
Maintain accurate sales records and account details. Submit weekly reports that keep ownership in the loop.
What It Takes
2+ years of experience in spirits, beverage, or hospitality sales. Strong knowledge of (and love for) spirits — rum experience is a plus. Relationship-first mindset and excellent people skills. Highly organized, self-motivated, and independent. Familiarity with the three-tier system and Montgomery County’s distribution model preferred. Willingness to work evenings and weekends for activations. Physical Expectations
