Produce a daily newscast that is informative, engaging, and compelling. Use creative production techniques, graphics, and video to elevate storytelling. Collaborate with managers, anchors, and colleagues, incorporating feedback daily. Participate actively in editorial meetings and regularly pitch story ideas. Respond quickly and decisively during breaking news. Write with accuracy, clarity, and strong grammar. Ensure all content is factually accurate and presented fairly. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum two years of news producing experience. Strong writing and verbal communication skills. Solid journalistic and ethical judgment. Knowledge of the local television landscape, including emerging trends in streaming, mobile, and social media. Experience stacking, writing, and managing the control room for live newscasts. Proficiency in using social media for both engagement and story discovery. Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain composed under pressure Familiarity with systems such as ENPS, Edius, Chyron, TEGNA One, and Social News Desk is a plus. Benefits
