Overview
Director of Business Intelligence at Acosta. You will lead a high-impact team focused on delivering data-driven insights and strategic solutions that drive business performance for the company, clients, and customers. You will oversee the development of analytical tools, foster cross-functional collaboration, and identify growth opportunities through innovative data strategies.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing BI team, ensuring timely, accurate, and impactful deliverables that support business objectives.
Recruit, train, and mentor associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning, engagement, and career growth.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and customers to ensure alignment and open communication.
Drive the development and optimization of business intelligence tools that support everyday business management and opportunity analysis.
Identify and capitalize on white space opportunities for both new and existing clients and customers.
Oversee project assignments, ensuring timely and accurate completion aligned with strategic goals.
Champion key organizational initiatives, participating in task forces and cross-functional projects as needed.
Manage revenue goals, identify new business opportunities, and close performance gaps through data-driven strategies.
Support strategic planning by delivering insights that influence decision-making and operational efficiency.
Ensure best-in-class analytics execution, leveraging industry tools and internal systems to deliver actionable intelligence.
Qualifications Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or category management certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Strong working knowledge of industry-standard BI tools, data sources, and analytics platforms.
Experience managing and optimizing business intelligence systems and tools to support strategic decision-making.
Leadership & Strategic Thinking
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve business goals and foster career growth.
Skilled in setting clear expectations, assigning responsibilities, and measuring performance outcomes.
Ability to identify and act on white space opportunities to drive growth for clients and the organization.
Communication & Collaboration
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Comfortable participating in cross-functional initiatives and representing BI in strategic planning discussions.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and develop actionable solutions.
Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities, especially in high-impact or time-sensitive situations.
Ability to prioritize initiatives and resources based on organizational goals.
Other Requirements
Ability to travel as needed.
Must meet physical requirements including visual acuity and color perception.
