Overview

We are looking for an energetic self-starter to serve as Managing Counsel to the Asset Servicing business. This role is located in New York City, NY or Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid, 4 days in-office. The attorney who fills this role will contribute as part of a larger team and independently advise the Asset Servicing business. We primarily support Asset Servicing's Fund Services group, which provides fund accounting, administration, transfer agency, middle office, custody and other services to a wide variety of registered and unregistered funds, ETFs, UITs and other investment vehicles. Exposure to asset management and/or financial institutions practice, technology, digital assets (e.g., cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets), distributed ledger technology, and/or data and analytics is helpful but not required. Responsibilities
Serving as a trusted internal resource and key legal advisor on significant business transactions, regulatory matters and strategic initiatives. Liaising with key stakeholders, including lines of business, business partners and senior leadership, to identify, escalate and mitigate material legal issues. Managing the drafting and negotiation of strategically important and potentially complex service agreements with clients. Demonstrating the ability to handle a broad portfolio of legal issues. Working collaboratively to ensure solutions align with global legal strategies. Partnering with colleagues who serve in advisory or oversight capacity, such as Risk, Audit, Compliance, etc. Developing a broad understanding of ASD products and services. Qualifications
J.D. and licensed to practice in NY or PA. 8-12 years of relevant experience. Prior substantive knowledge in the Financial Services industry (ideally Asset Servicing/Fund Services or Investment Management) is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to deliver legal advice in layman\'s terms and lead discussions with senior leadership. Strong legal and business judgment and negotiation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving and drafting skills with the ability to drive projects to completion. Significant experience in leading/overseeing complex transactions and contract negotiations. Team player with the ability to collaborate across the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and stakeholders. Experience with technology, software, digital assets, blockchain, data and analytics is a strong plus. Benefits and About Us
