This role will lead the effort to identify opportunities for long- and short-term CI strategies, working closely with cross-functional and operational teams to implement efficiencies and measurement methods. The strongest candidate will have a solid strategic mindset matched with a strong boots-on-the-ground inclination, as time spent on the production floor will bear great fruit in terms of seeing and understanding where CI opportunities are and the impact they may have not just on our business metrics, but on our wonderful teams. This position will contribute meaningfully to the systems analysis, design, redesign, and reengineering of processes, systems, procedures, and operational changes to increase efficiency, safety, and effectiveness. Responsibilities

Conducts CI activities across the operations (on the production floor, in the warehouse, for FSQ or product commercialization, etc.) Develops and implements long- and short-term continuous improvement strategies, working closely with production, planning, maintenance, and warehouse to increase capacity, reduce lead times, improve delivery upon request, and improve product quality Conducts routine reviews and reports on overall continuous activities including accomplishments, participation, project activities, and anticipated needs of all continuous improvement activities, summarizing and reporting results for appropriate management as necessary Diagnoses operational processes using various lean tools Develops the most efficient way to use people, machines, materials, information and energy to manufacture products at the lowest possible cost Facilitate and guide teams to develop countermeasures for problems identified related to work area layout, production processes and procedures and equipment Develops management control systems for cost control and analysis Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business is required At least 5 + years’ progressively more responsible operations analysis experience in manufacturing environment is required Demonstrated understanding of production, food safety and quality, safety, supply chain and maintenance/engineering is required Must have foundational and practical understanding of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies, including 5S, Kaizen, Fishbone, Five Why’s, etc. Must be able to apply and explain the DMAIC model for defining root cause, finding and implementing solutions Must have strong analytical skills Must demonstrate a strong business acumen and be comfortable learning Must have keen attention to detail Strong communication skills to ensure effective interpretation of lean results and to integrate team understanding and influence change Physical Requirements

Frequently requires standing, lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, smelling, listening, speaking, and seeing to perform the essential job duties Work conditions vary, working time will vary based upon work / project needs, and flexibility is critical Temperatures range from 5 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in processing departments Exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment are present in the plant Potential electrical, mechanical, and chemical, hazards are also present The noise level is high and constant Floors are damp and slick Must be able to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, analyze reports, manage data and det
