We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Wastewater General Manager to join our team. This is a permanent role in the construction sector where you will be in charge of managing all aspects of wastewater operations. We are a public service district dedicated to providing essential services that support and protect our mountain community, including water, wastewater, fire protection, and emergency medical services. Guided by our Board of Directors, we work every day to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions while ensuring responsible stewardship of public resources. Overseeing the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Planning, organizing, and directing the activities related to wastewater treatment and disposal. Coordinating and supervising the work of engineers, technicians, and other staff involved in wastewater operations. Developing and implementing strategic plans, budgets, and performance measures. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. Providing technical advice and support in the design and construction of wastewater infrastructure. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of wastewater systems, implementing improvements where necessary. Ensuring the safety of all employees and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Keeping abreast of latest trends and advancements in the field of wastewater management, incorporating best practices into operations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or professional engineering license is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within the wastewater industry, preferably in the public sector. Extensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, technologies, and relevant local, state, and federal regulations. Experience in planning, design, and construction of wastewater infrastructure. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Proficiency with computer software relevant to the role.
