citizenship . This is a full-time Director IT, Data and Analytics opportunity with a major firm located in Midtown, Manhattan, with a competitive salary and benefits package. Key Responsibilities Lead implementation of the organization's data strategy, business intelligence (BI) and reporting capabilities, focusing on delivering the Right Information to the Right People at the Right Time to enable the Right Decisions.
Architect scalable, best-in-class Data Warehouse, BI/Reporting solutions and processes; develop and maintain the analytics platform.
Drive data-driven decision-making by creating innovative reports, views, dashboards, scorecards, visualizations, and mobile analytics apps.
Lead requirements gathering, data profiling, KPI and metric development, and drive platform adoption.
Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders across the organization to develop data-informed reports that support business growth and operational efficiency.
Design, develop and implement data solutions following industry best practices.
Proactively drive the vision for BI and data warehousing across the organization.
Build cross-functional relationships to understand data needs and deliver solutions using the Right Data, the Right People, the Right Time, the Right Decisions.
Create data pipelines to move data between sources and cloud databases to form a unified data view.
Transform and cleanse raw data for analysis and visualization.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into database structures and technical designs.
Define a Unified Data Framework and data model to contextualize data sources across systems.
Define data validation rules and automation; ensure data quality across data warehouse and analytics platforms.
Develop visualizations, reports, dashboards, apps and KPI scorecards.
Deliver enhancements with normalized databases, best practices, and integrated data stores.
Implement SDLC and maintain technical and business process documentation.
Partner with VP of IT in ROI analysis and business case studies for project approval.
Manage and execute projects, develop schedules, manage risks and issues, facilitate meetings, and report status to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
Perform root cause analysis on major issues and drive preventive improvements.
Stay up to date with emerging technology trends and recommend relevant enhancements.
Skills & Qualifications Ad-hoc report writing using advanced SQL techniques.
Experience building Business Analytics applications for Salesforce CRM products and ERP systems.
Expert knowledge of data management, Master Data Management (MDM) including Data Quality.
Ability to gather, synthesize and analyze data and draw logical conclusions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; customer service focus.
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills with understanding of ITIL processes.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
Experience with project management methodologies such as SCRUM, Agile, hybrid approaches.
Business requirements gathering and writing business/functional requirements.
Understanding of UX, UAT and regression testing concepts.
Work Experience Ten or more years of experience with software development, data warehouses & data lake, and demonstrable experience managing a team and external consultants.
Implementation experience with Databricks data warehouse & Tableau self-service analytics is essential.
Hands-on experience with Data warehouse & BI tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Databricks, Snowflake; Tableau and Databricks preferred).
Proficiency in SQL, scripting, databases, ETL processes, data modeling, data warehouse methodologies, data management, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Sage Intacct data model is preferred.
Education and Certification Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
Advanced degree is a plus but not required.
PMP or PGPM PMI Certification or equivalent is preferred.
