IT Operations Analyst

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will ensure the availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure and applications that enable FAA's mission-critical operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth experience in federal contracting while supporting high-visibility aviation programs. Responsibilities

Leverage deep expertise in IT service management (ITSM), operations analysis, and systems integration to guide FAA modernization initiatives, optimize IT workflows, and reduce operational risk. Proven ability to conduct trend analysis and predictive modeling for IT operations. Analyze, optimize, and manage IT systems performance, availability, and capacity planning. Oversee implementation and monitoring of IT service management (ITSM) processes. Lead development of incident, problem, and change management workflows to improve IT reliability. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure operational alignment with NIST RMF, FISMA, and Zero Trust requirements. Provide technical oversight of infrastructure, applications, and enterprise IT environments. Develop and report on KPIs and performance metrics to FAA leadership. Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews, implementing corrective actions. Ensure IT operations support modernization programs and NextGen initiatives seamlessly. Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on IT operations best practices. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associate's degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience. Expertise in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL. Proven success managing enterprise IT systems in mission-critical environments. Strong knowledge of systems monitoring tools, log analysis, and operational dashboards. Familiarity with cloud and hybrid IT operations (AWS, Azure, GCP). Background in system performance tuning, capacity planning, and availability engineering. Experience with automation and orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, ServiceNow workflows). Familiarity with enterprise monitoring platforms (Splunk, SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications

Direct FAA or NAS configuration management experience. Professional certifications such as ITIL Expert, CASP+, CISSP, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator. Experience leading IT operations for FAA NextGen programs or aviation-related infrastructure. Experience supporting federal IT environments, preferably FAA, DOT, DHS, or DoD. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to brief senior leadership. Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and integration of operations into agile workflows. Experience with resiliency planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity operations. Contributions to federal IT operations policies, standards, or industry working groups. Salary and Benefits Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. Salary is determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, location, and contract considerations.
