DHS Business Development Senior Manager/Director at KBR, Inc. The DHS BD position acts as a front-end Business Development lead within KBR’s organization, focused on DHS mission and technology programs. The Mission Technology Solutions BD Lead is responsible for building relationships with the government, creating a focused pipeline, and winning new business. The BD Lead will engage with federal civilian customers and follow KBR BD processes. The BD Leader will drive large, prime single award opportunities and top pursuits ranging from $50M to $1 billion. Agency focus includes CISA, USCIS, TSA, HQ, USCG, CBP, and ICE. Travel to KBR facilities and customer locations is required. Responsibilities
Responsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across pursuits and proposals Routinely build pipeline and advance winnable opportunities with average size of $200M+ solicitations Engage the customer, shape future procurements, design winning strategies, and assist in developing capture plans that translate into win themes Ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in content throughout the capture process Plan, lead, and execute BD activities including: Leading the development of a healthy pipeline of new winnable opportunities Qualify and assess win-ability of opportunities and move them through milestone processes Develop plans to understand customer requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during capture and lead solutioning sessions with the capture team Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to gather market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy and timing, and contract vehicle choices Lead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and support proposal reviews Lead development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other customer engagement activities Apply KBR BD best practices to each pursuit including customer engagement and win-theme development Brief pipeline and opportunity status to senior management at milestones Create winning solutions and win large new business programs Basic Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of experience with demonstrated success in business development and capture of contracts valued greater than $200M Bachelor’s degree Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and provide leadership within the workplace Pre-existing knowledge and relationships with federal civilian agencies with a proven track record of winning single award programs as a prime Ability to win new business and drive profitable financial outcomes Proven success in Fed Civ BD disciplines: opportunity identification and qualification, account planning, and strategic planning Demonstrated leadership in services-centric organizations to develop and execute significant BD activities, including building teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans Proven track record of winning new business single award contracts in Federal Civilian Agencies as a prime with contract values over $200M Compensation
Basic Compensation : $190K - $280K Additional Compensation : KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation as per internal policy or contractual designation (sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short/long-term incentives, discretionary payments) The offered rate will be based on location, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and internal parity.
