Overview
Summary of Position The NA Chief Operations Officer (COO) oversees multi-site operations across manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, regulatory affairs, and the Project Management Office (PMO). The role focuses on operational reliability, process optimization, and global coordination while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The COO partners closely with the International COO to drive standardization, deliver financial performance, and enable long-term value creation across Curium’s North America operations. Responsibilities
Acts with ownership, agility, and a bias for action to create value in dynamic environments Aligns operational strategy with corporate goals across multiple sites while managing P&L, cost control, and overall financial performance Optimizes manufacturing and supply chain efficiency and resilience while ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, NRC, ISO, and other regulatory standards Builds and leads high-performing teams across sites, emphasizing accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement Leads process optimization and directs PMO to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget Partners with international leadership to ensure global alignment, standardization, and effective regional execution Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC / S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business; MBA preferred 15+ years of operational leadership, with 10+ years in senior leadership roles Proven oversight of multi-site operations in aseptic pharmaceuticals or highly regulated industries Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance requirements, and quality systems Working Conditions
Role is based in North America with travel required across Curium sites and occasional international travel Requires on-site presence at manufacturing and operations facilities, including time in GMP-regulated environments Standard office conditions with extended screen time, combined with exposure to production and laboratory areas Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet operational priorities and critical deadlines
