HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER role at University of Washington Medical Center - Montlake VA SULAR LAB. 1.0 FTE; FULL-TIME. The manager reports to the Assistant Director with a functional report to the Vascular Lab Medical Director and has responsibilities including financial planning/management, budget development, supervision of staff, personnel, payroll, purchasing, special projects, and other management functions for UWMC. The manager acts in an advisory capacity to Administrative and Medical Directors, physician leadership and department committees, providing financial guidance and management advice. The manager must develop and implement a structure that supports recruiting and directing personnel to support department operation and have in-depth experience and understanding of Vascular Lab functions. The manager will hire, recruit, orient and train vascular sonographers; assess skills, train, coach, evaluate staff, and apply progressive discipline as required. Responsibilities include promoting excellence in patient care delivery, overseeing development and evaluation of policies, standards and clinical education in the Vascular Lab; ensuring safe conduct of research, clinical trials, and new technology; participating in the accreditation process; leading quality management and patient care initiatives; and ensuring a safe environment for patient care. Lead and/or participate in clinical initiatives. Primary Job Responsibilities

Hire, recruit, orient and train vascular sonographers; assess skills, train, coach, evaluate staff and apply progressive disciplinary action as required. Oversee development, implementation and evaluation of policies, standards and clinical education in the Vascular Lab. Ensure research, clinical trials and new technology are safely conducted and supported. Participate in the accreditation process for the Vascular Lab. Lead or participate in quality management and patient care initiatives; promote Patient-are-First initiatives. Assure a safe environment for patient care and instruct others as needed. Engage in other management functions including financial planning and budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and special projects as related to the Vascular Lab. Qualifications

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Current registration as a registered vascular technologist through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers 4 or more years of previous lead or supervisory experience An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements. DESIRED Completed training from AMA-CAHE for vascular ultrasound program. About UW Medical Center - Montlake
