Job Summary
Insomniac produces some of the most innovative, immersive music festivals and events in the world. We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help shape the technology powering some of the world’s biggest live experiences.

Insomniac produces 10,000 concerts, club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. The company's premiere annual event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world’s largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525,000 fans over three days.
THE ROLE
Insomniac is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design and build backend systems that support e-commerce, ticketing, and fan engagement, while working closely with our internal and offshore teams.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain secure, scalable backend services using Go. Design and optimize APIs (REST & GraphQL) to support apps and websites. Integrate and manage third-party services (Stripe, Braintree, Cloudflare, etc.). Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows. Monitor and troubleshoot systems with modern observability tools. Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable and innovative solutions. Qualifications
5+ years as a backend engineer in e-commerce or related industries 3+ years of experience with Go (required) Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven systems Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, and SQL databases (Postgres preferred) Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Linux/Unix) Experience writing automated tests (unit tests, integration tests, browser / E2E) (required) Fluent in Git workflow (branching, merging, tagging, cherry picking) Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Bonus: Experience in ticketing, travel, or hospitality industries Bonus: Experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and Redis for caching Bonus: Experience configuring and managing Cloudflare services, including DNS, CDN, caching, and security features WORK ENVIRONMENT
