Part-Time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
to provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents (typically ages 4-26) in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving mental health outcomes for young patients and comfortable working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of children and adolescents. Diagnose and manage a range of mental health conditions including ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders, and mood disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy recommendations. Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, school personnel, and family members. Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Georgia state regulations. Participate in case conferences, clinical supervision, and team meetings. Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in child and adolescent psychiatry. Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completed residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Valid and unrestricted Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain. DEA license (with controlled substances registration for Georgia). Experience working with diverse populations of children and adolescents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience: Prior experience in outpatient, school-based, or community mental health settings. Familiarity with telepsychiatry platforms and electronic health records (EHR). Bilingual candidates (especially Spanish-speaking) are encouraged to apply. Work Schedule: Flexible part-time hours (e.g., 12–20 hours/week). Afternoon availability is required; some evening or weekend hours may be offered depending on patient demand. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly rate.
