Director, Agentic Commerce Solution Engineering . Overview

The goal of the Digital Partnership Solution Engineering team is to partner with key stakeholders in digital space to execute Mastercard’s digital strategy, identify new business development and revenue opportunities, and define new payment experiences through direct engagement with partners. This role focuses on enabling access to digital credentials wherever consumers engage with the world using agentic AI, driving components of Mastercard’s agentic commerce product suite from concept to market launch and scale across global markets. We are looking for Engineers to join our Solutions Engineering Team to build compelling and scalable Agentic Commerce solutions with Mastercard’s flagship agentic commerce product, Mastercard Agent Pay. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and excited by balancing the needs of diverse stakeholders. Responsibilities

Define the Solution Strategy: Partner with Mastercard’s flagship agentic commerce product owners to define and evolve the solution strategy as the product moves from concept to market. Lead Technical Engagements: Own the end-to-end technical relationship with global digital partners, from ideation through scaled deployment of agentic commerce solutions. Solution Design & Architecture: Translate complex partner requirements into robust, scalable, and secure architectures leveraging Mastercard’s agentic commerce product suite and technology platforms. Partner Collaboration: Work with AI agents, digital wallets, and commerce platforms to co-create solutions that integrate Mastercard’s digital credentials and payment capabilities into new agentic interfaces and consumer experiences. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Regional teams to align on technical strategy, delivery timelines, and go-to-market execution. Prototype & Innovate: Partner with prototyping and innovation teams to rapidly test and validate new agentic commerce use cases and interfaces. Commercial & Strategic Input: Support development of commercial models, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans by providing technical feasibility assessments and partner feedback. Global Coordination: Act as the central technical point of contact for regional digital teams, ensuring consistency in solution design and partner onboarding across markets. IP & Compliance: Identify opportunities for intellectual property creation and ensure all solutions comply with Mastercard’s data, security, and business model standards. All About You (Qualifications)

High level of fluency in AI, including deep technology foundations and awareness of payments. Understanding of Mastercard’s key customers, partners, and external stakeholders (Issuers, PSPs, Acquirers, Digital Wallet Operators, Merchants). Strong experience and knowledge of digital payments, wallets, tokenization, and authentication across global regions. Experience with AI/ML platforms, agentic systems, or conversational interfaces is a plus. Analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence; ability to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems. Comfortable communicating strategy and complex ideas to executive leadership. Experience working in a global, matrixed organization and managing cross-regional initiatives. As a technical leader in Acceptance Innovation & Solution Engineering, you will collaborate with product owners, technology teams, partners, and clients to define solution architectures, lead proofs-of-concept, and translate product vision into technical execution. Total Base Pay Range:

178,000.00 - 284,000.00
