BluePearl Monterey invites you to join our AAHA-certified, multi-specialty practice located in Monterey on the Central Coast of California. We’re seeking a Board-Certified Surgeon or an individual who is residency-trained in Small Animal Surgery to join our team. We’re gearing up to unveil our brand-new hospital by Fall 2025 and are looking for an experienced clinician with an entrepreneurial mindset to lead the way in building and expanding our Surgery department. Our new building will feature three surgical suites and plenty of space for you to grow your service. Why BluePearl Monterey
The team in Monterey believes in collaborative medicine between all departments to provide comprehensive patient care. In addition to emergency care and our existing specialty services in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Surgery, we are expanding our team and seeking a Criticalist, Radiologist, Oncologist, and Neurologist for our new building. Our hospital offers a complete in-hospital diagnostic suite, including a 16-slice CT unit, stat-lab, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, an oncology suite with a Germfree Class II, Type B Laminar Flow Cabinet, and Phaseal closed system transfer devices. We also have a Minimally Invasive Surgery program with rigid laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and arthroscopy.
Responsibilities
Lead the growth and development of the Surgery department in a collaborative, multi-specialty environment. Contribute to the expansion of the hospital and patient care services as part of a larger veterinary team. Maintain clinical excellence and support a positive learning culture for the practice.
Qualifications
Board-Certified Surgeon or residency-trained in Small Animal Surgery. AAHA-certified practice experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $240,000 to $327,000 per year. Production possible as determined by company policy. Ancillary benefits may vary by region/hospital and include shift differentials and weekend differentials. Discuss specifics with your interviewer.
