U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service at Veterans Affairs (VA) Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) is currently recruiting for a full-time staff pathologist who is board certified in Anatomic Pathology. Additional certification in Clinical Pathology and/or Cytopathology is preferred, not required. The pathologist will provide Surgical Pathology and/or Cytopathology case review and reporting and attend the principal tumor boards. Additionally, the pathologist will participate in teaching, research, and clinical activities co-sponsored by academic affiliates Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, and Harvard Medical School. The successful candidate will join a collegial and collaborative group of 10 experienced pathologists. The Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service consists of laboratories and/or outpatient phlebotomy stations at West Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Brockton, Causeway, Lowell and Bedford locations. The Anatomic Pathology Division of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service includes Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, Hematopathology, Neuropathology, Autopsy, Histology lab, and Immunohistochemistry lab. The Clinical Pathology Division of the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service includes Blood Bank, Chemistry and Toxicology, Flow Cytometry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Point of Care testing, and Send-out testing.
