Looking to join our dynamic team at Ohio State University Physicians where excellence meets compassion! With over 100 cutting-edge outpatient center locations, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care while fostering a collaborative work environment, our team includes more than 1,800 nurses, medical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers, administrative support staff, IT specialists, financial specialists and leaders that all play an important part. This position will support two dynamic clinical teams: the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinic and Ohio Gastro Group (OGG). The role will be based at 3721 Ridge Mill Drive, Hilliard, Ohio, 43026 and 3400 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43202, requiring travel between the two locations. The individual in this role will primarily work as a Medical Assistant, but will also be trained to perform registration duties. The schedule includes six sessions per week in the IBD Clinic and two sessions per week in OGG transplant, totaling 32 hours per week. Travel between the Hilliard and Columbus locations will be required. Our culture

Responsibilities Room patients, measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. Complete patient interview and history. Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assists with procedures as ordered by physician. May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests. Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients. Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following: A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience Military Medic training EMT-P (Paramedic) training Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education Preferences Medical Assistant Certification At OSU Physicians, Inc., we recognize the value of acquiring a certification in medical assisting. Therefore, our Certified MAs receive additional compensation for getting and maintaining this certificate!
Pay Range
