As Vice President of Asset Management, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for leading AHC’s asset management strategies to deliver strong financial performance and impactful outcomes for our residents. You’ll oversee a team of asset management professionals, ensuring departmental excellence while driving innovation, accountability, and positive change. This is a highly visible role with direct accountability for portfolio performance, risk management, and strategic planning. You will also serve as a key advisor to the Board of Directors and as liaison to the Real Estate and Asset Management Committee. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership Collaborate with the COO and Senior Leadership Team to design and execute short- and long-term asset management strategies. Increase portfolio profitability and ensure stability through innovative approaches and sound financial stewardship. Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, elected officials, property management partners, and community organizations. Operational Oversight Oversee capital improvement projects and renovation tracking. Manage annual operating and capital budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance and risk management across all AHC properties. Develop and maintain asset management policies and procedures. Partner with the CFO on budget planning aligned with business strategy. Monitor and report on fund-level performance, variances, and financial outcomes. Drive financial stewardship across the organization’s assets. Culture & Team Development Lead, mentor, and inspire the Asset Management team (Compliance Director, Asset Managers, Associate, and Community Manager). Foster a collaborative, transparent, and inclusive team culture. Promote equity, accountability, and resident-focused practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, urban planning, architecture, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 15+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in asset management, property management, or affordable housing development. Expertise in affordable housing financing models (e.g., LIHTC, PAB, FHLB AHP, Tax-Exempt Bonds, HUD programs, GSE). Strong financial acumen, including pro forma modeling and analysis of property financial statements. Deep knowledge of local/state regulations and planning processes. Experience with private equity lending practices. Strong understanding of real estate industry and community issues in AHC’s focus areas. Why Join AHC?
