The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking an Electrical Engineer 2 to be an Accountable Manager for the Wastewater Capital Program (WWCP). The selected candidate will support upgrades and construction projects at wastewater resource recovery facilities, including main sewage pump system upgrades and power system improvements. The Accountable Manager will direct the oversight of planning, design, and construction of major capital construction projects, ensuring project goals and milestones are achieved. The selected candidate will also be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and processing contract modifications, providing day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates, and ensuring Environmental Health & Safety is incorporated throughout the project lifecycle. Four years of full-time, satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work A valid New York State Professional Engineer’s License A master's degree in electrical engineering may be substituted for one year of experience Preferred skills include proficient oral and written communication, possession of a motor vehicle driver license, and a detailed understanding of permitting, equipment, and materials.
