Your Opportunity The role supports project proposal and application processes throughout the US and Canada with a focus on the US North Region across Municipal, Manufacturing, Energy, Power, Food and Beverage, Hi-Tech, Mining, and Pharma. Office locations include Minneapolis, MN (and surrounding MN offices); Chicago, IL; Ann Arbor, MI; Columbus, OH; Burlington, MA; New York, NY; Richmond, VA; among others. The Senior Process Engineer is expected to network with engineering, environmental, water and wastewater professionals on technical project execution and related business development initiatives, and to lead process evaluation and design efforts. You will evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for projects, performing tasks such as calculations, design sketches and concepts, report preparation, and field work. Projects may be broad, varied, and diverse in scope. You will analyze proposed projects to ensure safety, reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Business development activities include listening to client needs, meeting with clients, identifying solution opportunities, and contributing to high-level business strategies and implementation planning. Senior Process Engineers typically assist in developing detailed proposals for a wide variety of project settings. Your Key Responsibilities Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships. Routine tasks include participating on teams to manage and develop proposals. Client engagement for business development contact, meetings, and presentations. Scope of work documents and budget estimates. Collaboration with multiple business lines to develop opportunities. Quality reviews of proposal documents. Perform complex engineering design tasks on water and wastewater projects through collaboration with multiple technical disciplines. Routine tasks include design basis documents, physics and chemistry calculations, mass and energy balances, and feasibility studies. Engineering drawings and specifications; engineering reports; presentations to clients, regulatory agencies and project stakeholders; quality reviews. Develop design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Assist project managers with scope, budget, staffing, and schedule development. Lead others in developing and coordinating construction specifications. Coordinate quality assurance and quality control; facilitate independent technical reviews. Review contractor/vendor submittals for adherence to contract documents and standards. Engage in permitting processes, including meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders; coordinate with regulatory review for final approval. Develop and update project design standards and guidelines; prepare abstracts and technical papers. Manage a team of design professionals and technicians; mentor and supervise staff to develop high-performing project teams. Assist with business development pursuits including proposal preparation and interviews participation. Interact with clients and management regarding status of project scope, schedule, and budget. Apply and share experience in design expertise; lead and manage preparation of construction documents including plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Research regulatory and other drivers affecting projects; ensure project needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned. Your Capabilities and Credentials Work well in a high-performance team environment without direct supervision. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Hard-working and positive attitude. Ability to perform mass & energy balance and hydraulic calculations. Ability to assess industrial processes for core plant functions. Knowledge of P&IDs development. Ability to drive development of process control narratives for programming process control systems. Translate industrial process into clear diagrams. Understanding of project documentation, procurement procedures, and regulatory approval processes. Collaborative in project teams; able to engage in creative and critical thinking. Ability to discuss project issues with clients, contractors, suppliers, and funding/review agencies; deliver technical presentations in public forums. Excellent time-management, task scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Understanding of local and regional codes and design requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred but not required. Minimum of 12 years of total experience. Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with ability to obtain PE in Minnesota within 12 months. Typical office environment with desk work; field work may involve exposure to elements. Pay Range Locations in MN, VT, and various CA, NY areas: Min $107,100 – Max $160,700 Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD and various CA, NJ areas: Min $117,800 – Max $176,800 Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP): Min $134,900 – Max $202,500 Pay Transparency:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided where required. Final compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. Some roles may be bonus eligible. Benefits Summary:
