Overview

Manager, Creative at Texas A&M University at Galveston. The Creative Manager provides creative direction and design for marketing and communication needs of assigned Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) members. Oversees and designs printing and production of promotional materials for internal and external uses and mediums, including traditional print, electronic, social media, and multimedia. Responsibilities

Project Management: Manages all aspects of assigned projects, including concepts, timelines, budgets, communications, deadlines, and quality control. Proactively coordinates meetings to keep projects on track, ensures on-time completion, and develops alternative plans if deadlines cannot be met. Regularly communicates with the Director to suggest new strategies and uses the team’s project management system to manage projects and report data. Creative Direction: Provides strategic direction and oversight of the design and development process for print, web, social media, video, and email marketing; collaborates with Communications to guide web presence; aligns print and electronic media with branding guidelines; represents the team in presentations, briefs, and metrics; contributes brand structure expertise. Vendor Collaboration: Collaborates with vendors, reviews printing specifications and job costing data, evaluates equipment purchases, and manages large format laser printing projects. Team Development: Mentors graphics and video team members, provides coaching, develops internal workshops and professional development opportunities, and conducts regular performance evaluations. Research and Analysis: Analyzes industry trends, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies, develops tools for graphic design projects, stays current on printing processes and resources, and provides strategic direction for integrated campaigns across photography, design, websites, social media, and printed materials. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in graphics design, fine arts, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of experience in graphics design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing, or related design field. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. This position is security sensitive. If applicable, alternate work location per TAMU guidelines. Willingness to cover shifts or take emergency calls on evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. What You Need To Know
