Base pay range
$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr Responsibilities
Iterate on defined user experience concepts and components for the product or project using tools such as wireframes, prototypes, and process flow diagrams Work with UX Researcher to understand the user needs Assist in developing concepts for the customer-facing product/application Work closely with visual designers and web developers to ensure the UX is implemented as designed Implement basic UCD solutions/processes Work with existing design patterns and style guides, occasionally introducing new patterns Create high-fidelity interface designs, vector iconography, motion designs, branding materials, and design specifications Make data visualization beautiful, elegant, and functional Proactively use data to establish key metrics for projects Explore data from analytics packages, customer insight or other sources to understand the context of research work Regularly test design work with users in partnership with the UX Research team Iterate research methods based on testing and data analysis Ask the right questions to explore the problem Independently identify different creative solutions Consider the problem from multiple angles Contribute to discussions about the future of the product or organization Look for opportunities to develop new ideas or thinking within own role Keep up to date on news/incidents and understand what is happening in the market and with competitors Share information relevant to own role Participate in team presentations Develop cooperative working relationships within the team Consider how own style affects others and tailor interactions accordingly Look for ways to develop mutually beneficial relationships across teams Requirements
2-4+ years of experience with each of the following: Using relevant tools for communicating designs to developers Using design software (XD, Sketch, Figma, etc.) at intermediate level Proactively identifying needs for training in technical skills Understanding the nuances of designing for different platforms Deep understanding and passion for composition, typography and color Understands how UI design impacts the overall user experience Familiar with and can use customer frameworks Curious and keen to learn and develop new ideas, skills and knowledge Able to ask effective questions and collect facts from multiple sources in order to solve problems Able to effectively identify and analyze problems and propose solutions Brainstorms with others to look for different approaches to current process and tasks Looks for opportunities to develop new ideas or thinking within own role Experiments with new ideas as part of role Communicates powerfully and prolifically Demonstrates effective conversational skills, including active listening and questioning Is approachable and friendly The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable.
